“It all began in a countryside kitchen in the hills of Chongqing, China. A black brick stove, a bubbling pot of pickled pork, garlic ground by hand and a mother tending the fire with quiet devotion.

Years later, that warmth lives on. Not through perfect recipes, but through instinct, memory, and the desire to cook something meaningful for the people we love.

Our mother has been gone for years, and now we are wives and mothers ourselves. Though we never formally learned her recipes, her culinary style lives on in us.”

- the Tan sisters

In 2007, the Tan sisters opened their first restaurant, Yun’s ZhenWei - a humble kitchen filled with warmth, sincerity, and unforgettable dishes. Loved by the local community, it quickly grew beyond one kitchen, spreading across neighborhoods and becoming a name cherished by the community.

Now, Tis Two Cities arrives in Toronto, and here, we begin a new journey: blending tradition with innovation, East with West.

At our restaurant, we serve more than tea and cuisine - we serve a story, a memory, and a connection that started in one city and continues in another.
